Newbies gustafson Posted August 7, 2005 Newbies Posted August 7, 2005 I have a database of my cartoons linked to my art files which are 600 dpi TIFFs. When I print them, the graphics look fuzzy. The text prints great, just the art is bad. Is there a way to change settings in the picture box? I scale down what I print from the original file so the quality should be good. ?:
stanley Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Gustafson: Check the settings on the container field which has the graphics in it in your print layout. You should have it set to "crop", so that it prints without any sort of resizing on the part of FileMaker. To do that, click on the container field in layout mode, and go to Format->Graphic..., which will bring up the container field's settings. The point of the exercise is to stop FileMaker from trying to do anything at all to the graphics. -Stanley
Newbies gustafson Posted August 7, 2005 Author Newbies Posted August 7, 2005 (edited) THANKS! Do you know if FileMaker prefers one graphic format over the others? Say, PNG, TIFF or JPEG? Edited August 7, 2005 by Guest
