ohboy710 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I uninstalled the trial version of 7.0 and now when I try and install the actual version I get a message upon install that says "Error Applying transforms. Verify that the specified transforms path are valid." Then the installer closes. I am unable to install this program. I also have removed the old version in the add/remove programs so I dont' know what else needs to be done. Any help would be great.
BrentHedden Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Hmm - that's odd indeed. If you've removed the trial from the add/remove programs, then make sure to remove the program directory altogether (sometimes it doesn't remove everything). To be more complete, use the registry editor and remove any instance of FileMaker that shows up in a search. It might be that the install is grabbing values that were never deleted from the registry. Be sure to perform a backup of your registry before proceeding!
ohboy710 Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 I removed the program in add/remove, then I removed the install directory, then I ran my registry cleaner and removed everything to do with filemaker that I am aware of. Any other ideas.. or a specific place I should check in the registry to see if its removed?
