stevie.at Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I went through the postings I found but still don't know what the problem is... Sometimes it occurs that "...maximum numbers of licensed users are currently using this copy..." (you know) appears when a client starts FMP7 (.0v3). Is this still something FileMaker has to fix? I can't see any problem here...we're running FMS7.0v3, every client got it's own copy ov FMP7, server settings should be fine...so what is it?
CyborgSam Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I'm assuming this error happens when FM7 is launched, right? If so, verify that each client (each computer) is using a distinct serial #. I've seen workplaces that had enough legal copies but used the same CD & serial # to install on multiple computers.
stevie.at Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 Yes, you are right, it's about launching FMP. I checked all serials before starting my posting, so this is definitely not the problem! Could there be conflicts somehow if you got another older versiion of FMP installed on a machine? I can't think of it, but who knows...
RalphL Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Does this correct itself if you reboot the machine with the problem? Does this correct itself if you take the machine off the network and reconnect? In older versions of FMP this happened if FMP was not shut down correctly. Don't have any experence with this on 7.
