Duchesse Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I have upgraded an FM6 file to FM7, and I find that everything--field labels and field content--appears dimmed and fuzzy. I thought at first it might have something to do with default accounts and permissions, but I've looked into all that without success. I have full access to do what I want with the data, the layouts, whatever. I have a very hard time reading the data on the screen--even if I set font style to bold everywhere!--and I know my colleagues will be unhappy with this "upgrade" if I unleash it on them. Any suggestions?
SlimJim Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 You could try changing the font smoothing style in the preferences general tab. I recall that I had a similar problem when I first upgraded to FMP7. Another thing is ensure that you have the latest updater 7.0v3 as I think(?not sure) that made some improvements to font rendering.
Duchesse Posted August 16, 2005 Author Posted August 16, 2005 (edited) Thanks very much for the suggestions. Changing "Font Smoothing Style" to "Darkest" in "General Preferences" did help a little, but installing the update patch (7.0v3) really did the trick. The display is fine now.
