What you ask for is not necessarily the optimal solution, if say you get you hands on some .jpg's will they render slower than any native build stuff. Because it's easier to tell filemaker to draw a line from a to b than insert a image ...so the requirement must be that the buttons/icons is made with what the tools available inside filemaker is capable of.
