I recently upgraded from FM3 to FM7. The new functionality is excellent, but I'm seeing flashing or flickering when manually selecting text in a FM7 field (Windows XP). This makes the text selection process appear very jittery, unsmooth and unprofessional. This is happening in every database and in every field using the desktop version of FM7 Developer. Text selection is very smooth, though, when working in an IWP version of a database.

This was never an issue in FM3 for me. I notice that in FM3, the selected text appears in a black background (selection bar?), as it also does in MS Word; however in FM7 Developer, the selected text appears in a bluish background.

Is anyone else seeing this problem? Is there a setting that I've overlooked somewhere that can make this flashing go away?

With a trial version of FM8, this problem appears to have gone away. Text selection is no longer jittery, and selected text once again appears white in a black background. Looks significantly more professional. Does anyone else notice a difference with FM8?
