When exporting a record is it possible to customize the name of the exported file according to the contents of a field? Can anyone please point me toward some sort of generic .bat script or just a windows scripting overview for basic fm tasks in general?

B) Bonus question, does fm7 / fm7 server cater for the creation of thumbnails?

Just in case anyone ever comes accross this question looking for an answer... to the first question -- Yes in FM7 by exporting a default file and then renaming using cmd line or apple script. In FM8 using variables.
