reports in FM8

Is FM8 capable of generating complex reports or are their other programs focusing on report generation from an existing database the way to go. I have a database with relations to several other databases, and would like to do some statistical analysis of the data.

Also, is there a significant difference between FM8 and FM8 Advanced?
