Type-ahead for drop-down lists is still buggy though. The first invocation of such a list on the Windows platform misses the first character you type so it goes to the wrong point in the list. Subsequent access to the list within the same session works fine. There is a similar pause on the Mac (presumably while the list loads into RAM), but the keystroke is not lost.
