Install the plug-in, then open the sample file that comes with EventScript. Modify the price of the item but instead of exiting the field, close the window or quit FMP. Now open the file again: the price has been changed, but the script never ran.

I can see great uses for this, but not to enforce business rules or provide security. That's what field-level validation and access privileges are for.

Anything else is just painted lines on the ground.
