Newbies jende77 Posted September 13, 2005 Newbies Posted September 13, 2005 We are running Filemaker Server 7 and publishing a dB to the web using custom web publishing and XSLT style sheets made using site assist. There are about 950 records in our database. When I "Show all records" (max=25) and begin navigating through the list hitting the next button, I always get an error about 10-11 pages through the list. The errors on the page and in the logs read: XSLT-CWP: An unexpected error has occurred (null) File: /fmi/xml/fmresultset.xml The line and column fields are blank. Any suggestions? I am leaning towards a timeout of the results list, but can find no place to configure this. Thanks in advance.
Newbies jende77 Posted September 13, 2005 Author Newbies Posted September 13, 2005 We sure do. We are running Windows 2003 Server on a server with dual processors and hyperthreading enabled. Do you think it is the dual processors?
Martin Brändle Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 It definitely is. FMI recommends to turn off the HT and the second CPU until they have resolved issues with the WPE in this KB article: http://filemaker.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/filemaker.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=5303 We had a lot of problems with XSLT document() on our dual-CPU Apple Xserve until we turned off the second CPU.
Newbies jende77 Posted September 27, 2005 Author Newbies Posted September 27, 2005 Thank you very much for this solution! It has resolved our problem. We have made this change on the server, and after watching for a few days, the errors have not returned. It seems a shame to not make use of all the server capability.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 As Martin remarked, this is a known issue. And they are definitely aware of it. Contrary to popular belief--as the original poster's description notes--this IS a cross–platform issue with both dual processors and on Windows hyperthreading as well. I'd recommend anyone using Server look at the referenced Tech Info article. Steven
