Run script automatically following ENTER or RETURN in text field

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can get to perform a script immediately the RETURN or ENTER key is pressed in a text field.

For example, I would like to set up a text field where the user inputs the information to search for. This should automatically trigger the appropriate search script once the ENTER or RETURN key is pressed.

Grateful for any ideas?.

The easiest way to do this would be to put the user into a paused script in find mode, then when the information is entered into the search field(s) and the user hits enter or return and the script is resumed, performing the search.

You could use the Troi Activator or Waves in Motion Events plug-ins. They both allow you to run a script on exiting a field.

the Filemaker Examples plugin will also allow you to trigger a script upon exiting a field.
