is there a way to make a Tab Control appear like this ?

Not natively, Daniele.

But you can 'simulate' it with a bit of layout work. See attached... :)

It is a shame that this type of object can't be rotated ! May be FMP 8.5 super advanced !! ;-)

This also shows how to TOTALY disable the original tab header, so users can't accidentally click into the wrong tab. The same technique can be used to build horizontal tab controls with scriptable tab buttons
