How to setup account/privileges when using FM network & Custom web site (XSLT)

Featured Replies

When the user clicks on one of six DB files (same application) presented from the "Open Remote" window I don't want the file to open. These same files must also be available to web site users (XSLT) that need "Data Entry Only" privileges. I have tried many combinations of accounts/privilege sets to no avail. any assistance will be greatly appreciated.....Ray

For example: I had created a privilege set "WebAccess" that is assigned to the Guest account. For the settings see attached screen shot.

With this, a guest should be able only to access by XSLT CWP. The important point is to remove the tick mark at "Access via FileMaker Network (fmapp)".

Hi Martin, thanks for your input, it worked great. I have a problem when I try to add a user with password and Filemaker Network ONLY privleges. This causes my web site to request a password which I do not want. When I remove the user the problem goes away.

Hi again Martin, think I discovered my problem, the extended privilege sets did not have all the necessary privilege sets checked. Thanks again for your kind assistance.......Ray
