Hi all;

I installed FM Server;

As I understand we can run script files by fmserver admin. However, that option is always disabled in my software...

My purpose was to run several files from which I am running some filemaker scripts in the files I am hosting to perform some daily or weekly checks and emailing issues...

My first question is can we run FM files via this step ?

My second question is: Is there any way to enable this option ?

Thanks in advance

Best wishes

Before making a schedule that calls a script, place the script into the server's Scripts folder: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Data/Scripts. The grayed out selection will become active and the scripts will appear in the popup.

Thank you very much for the reply;

However, my second problem persists:

I put my scriptrunner.fp7 file in to the scripts folder and I did the schedule.

However, the scriptrunner file did not do what it was supposed to.

Within Scriptrunner I have a file reference which remotely opens the labdadatbase .

By using this reference I am running a script which should email to some people,

I am running the script from the file by remotely opening it, it works and sends the emails

But when I use the schedule option it does not work...

Any ideas?

Miscommunication... My bad. I carefully re-read your original post:

The "Scripts" you are tying to run are FileMaker files (.fp7). The scripts used by the FM Server Admin are either unix commands AppleScripts (created using Apple's Script Editor application).

How to get a unix command and/or AppleScipts to do what you need is too much to explain in a reply, I suggest reading the FMS manual or explain exactly what you're trying to do.
