SQL problem with Updating FM through ODBC

Hi there....

I have a though nut to crack: we use FM7 on mac as a ODBC datasource for Indesign(plugin):) works nice. Eveything works except the update statement for the German content. In other words: i get an errormessage when i want to update the german text (or text with ü, ö etc) from Indesign (plugin) via ODBC into FM 7. ANY help is welcome!!!!! (english text works fine!!! and german text flows correct into Indesign!)
