Newbies David Heady Posted October 16, 2005 Newbies Posted October 16, 2005 How do you get FileMaker Server 5.5 on Windows XP to recognize/host files that do not have an extension?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 In the Server Admin panel there is an option to register up to 16 distinct suffixes. These are customarily those attached to runtime data files. If a FileMaker Pro file itself does not have the .fp5 extension, you should use the Developer Tool to rename the file with the extension. Using the Tool will help to assure that the internal links are updated. I gather someone made a file, probably on Macintosh OS 9, without the extension? HTH Steven
