damo Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I have script in my database which when activated sends a print job instructing the printer to print 3 pages from 3 trays of the same printer, ie; page 1 prints from tray 1, page 2 from tray 2 and page 3 from tray 3. This script worked when the printer was being hosted by a windows server 2000 machine. When we migrated the printers and databases to a windows server 2003 machine the script stopped working, instead it simply reverts to whatever the default printer is on the users computer. The script continues to work if I point it to the printer spooler hosted on the 2000 server, but no matter what I try I cannot get it to work on the new 2003 server. Does anyone have any suggestions?
damo Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 I have spotted a number of 3rd party plugins relating to physically changing printers, does anyone know of any which are able to change the printer settings, ie; print layout1 from tray 1, then print layout 2 from tray 2?
