I have the demo version of the new Troi file plugin. Although it is for FM7, I want to use it in FM8 advanced.

However, I have found a slight problem. The files that I want to import are user files from a DNA sequence program. They appear to be text files, as I can open them with Text Edit. Yet, Troi file will not allow me to select them (they are greyed-out in the dialog box.

Any ideas?

Make sure the TrFile_SetDefaultType function (if being used) isn't limiting the types of files you can select. In other words, when the dialog "Please Select a File" appears, make sure that "Files of Type" at the bottom says "All Files (".")

If that doesn't work and no one else offers advice, contact Troi Automatisering via email...they have great customer service and will probably get back to you very quickly.

FYI I use the plug-in in FM8 and I haven't notices any problems.
