Basic filtering in portals??

Maybe a silly question, but I'm just a beginner. How do you simply filter through a portal?

Let me give you an example. I have 60 employees whose job changes each month. In the month of July, I need only 2 people to "wash cars". How do I create a portal with the following results: search all 60 employees and return only the names of those who "wash cars" in the month of July? In this same month, I need 6 people "painting the fence". So I want to create another portal, but this time search all 60 employees and return just those names of employees who are "painting the fence". Make sense?

Any help is appreciated!

In the end, I would have one Layout, titled July Job Distribution. This layout would have all 18 jobs listed in one row and below each heading would be a portal containing which of the 60 employees are performing that given job in the month of July.

Thanks again!

Check out the "Contacts Management" template that comes with FM8. The third tab on the main entry form shows a good example of portal filtering. The tab allows you to select filtering by "Company", "Name", and something else. I imagine you could make a value list of "tasks" for your filter. Good luck!
