"The more I learn, the dumber I get"!

The program is a very simple and straight forward "Vendor Data Base". I want to print a report using 3 of the fields in a 2 column layout. The results I'm getting are puzzling to say the least. The fields are always entered into the form as F1, F2 and F3 (in that order). In preview they may be displayed as F2, F1, F3 or F3, F2, F1. Also, the columns appear to be of "fixed" widths and all equal so that a 4 digit "vendor number" would use a 15 col field size and a 25 char "vendor name" is restricted to the same 15 col field size.

IE:# name phone

1234 Town And Coun800-555-5555

En fin: Is there any way to adjust the resulting size for each of the fields in the column?
