Bad Date Formatting

Featured Replies

I have inserted the "date symbol" into a layout and have formatted the date to be of the "November 1, 2005" format. In preview and browse modes, and when I print the date appears as "November *, ****" Where the asteriks are really rectangular boxes. The text field is plenty big to show the whole date. Has anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks

Jacob:

Your date field has for some reason decided to present itself as a Japanese date, formatted as Kanji. Click on your date symbol in Layout mode, go to Format->Date, and you'll see the problem.

This is a bug I have encountered before with number fields, but never with date fields, and I couldn't tell you why it happens. I suspect it may indicate a corruption in the file, but that's just a wild, unsubstantiated suspicion.
