June 12, 200124 yr Okay, I have 5 databases, all related by field: UID. No access privileges set yet. So, I have "allow creation of related records" checked for all relationships. Yet, when I type a UID into a new record in my central DB, nothing happens in the other 4 DBs. Am I missing something completely obvious? feeling wicked stupid bevin

Relationships provide a means of making data available in one file available in another, but do not by themselves create records. Rather a relationship offers you the potential, but you as the developer have to then use scripting, portals, calculations, and other means at your disposal to effect the record creation. You probably need to read the FM manual and/or help files a little more throroughly to see how it is done. Best of luck.
