Finding exact match from drop-down

Featured Replies

I want to be able to find an exact match from a drop-down so, for example, when selecting "Home" from the drop-down in find mode, records for "Home improvement" aren't returned as well.

However:

- the find is done using a scripted button, not just entering by find mode manually

- users can only select values from a drop-down list (so can't type in ==)

- users don't have access to the status area

- the file is accessed via IWP, so the drop-down stays in drop-down mode (you can't type in the field in find mode).

Any ideas?

I have no experience of IWP or your users but I would think the direct solution is to give them a value list for the dropdown which includes == at the front of each entry.

Many thanks.
