irregular lookups

There is a lookup in "Invoices" (from "Works") that performs fine on many records and not on some.

There is a parallel lookup in "Commision Invoices" (from "Works") that performs fine on the problem records.

I have recovered the each file with no errors and no improvement.

I have duplicated a record in "Works" that does not lookup correctly in "Invoices" without improvement.

Is there a way to check for DB corruption or are there alternative methods of clearing this irregularity?
