BrentHedden Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 A bit of background before I ask my question - the main product my company sells is a shrinkwrap that the price is determined mainly by how many users was to run the program at any given time. Most clients are using a runtime, while the others are using Server to host the database. Anyways - I know that Filemaker can run on a Citrix server. I've even read the whitepapers that FileMaker has available on the subject. But this potential client wants to run a Runtime version on Citrix. I don't have a Citrix server, but I did test this situation on a Terminal Server (2000), and seems to run OK. Of course, it still would only let one person run the program at any one time, just like a Runtime should. Are there any pitfalls/gotchas that I should be aware of to support such a setup? It seems kinda silly to do such, but that's what they want. Keep in mind that this is a FM 6 solution, and is only going to be run on a Windows platform. Are there any differences with 7/8? Thanks for any help on this.
cjaeger Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 FileMaker 7/8 runtimes does run on Citrix no prob. Since the runtime app is just a crippled FileMaker app, it should.
