Hi All,

I'm using FM 8 Advanced, & I'm sure there are better reference books available than the documentation included with FM.

Can anyone suggest some good Reading/Reference material which may also include samples on CD ?

You may have to wait a bit for good FM8 books; until then I'd recommend Special Edition Using FileMaker 7, which is an excellent resource. The FileMaker Bible is pretty good, too, especially as a reference. Both come with CDs. Most of what you do in FM8 is identical to what you do in FM7, so you won't be missing out on too much.

You can keep coming back to the Resources forum & see what people think of FMP8 books as they come out.

Of course I can't confirm this, but I think the bulk of the FM8 books won't be released or completed until Server 8 Advanced is available, which should be the end of this year.

O'Reilly's Missing Manual for FM 8 is out... anybody got any opinions on it?

Just finished it and am writing a review for FMPug.. short version, I think it is very good.. read the review in a couple of days.
