Newbies tacarey Posted December 14, 2005 Newbies Posted December 14, 2005 Ihave a table with two containers. In one i put a jpg file by dragging and dropping. In the other I add a jpg by clicking on the field and then adding the file. I have done this with about 200 pictures. In one case I can double left click the container and the jpg opens up in my default graphics program. In the other case I have to right click – save the picture – and then open. An interesting inconsistency I do not understand.
SlimJim Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 The difference is due to the fact that in one case you are saving a link to a file on your disk - which you can open by double-clicking - and in the other case you are storing the file in your database so it is not linked to a file and hence it is necessary to export it to the disk before you can open it in another application.
