We are an educational research and development institution in Chicago, IL looking for a FileMaker Developer for work on our custom applications for schools. This is a part-time, temporary position (20 hours per week).

You will be responsible for supporting our in-house development through: maintaining our existing databases; providing analysis and coding to address errors and problems; developing new databases, scripting, and layouts for systems under development in collaboration with design teams, researching and recommending solutions that extend FileMaker functionality as needed, documenting system maintenance and revisions, and collaborating with our external partners on database design, data integration, and maintenance.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years experience in relational database development. FileMaker Pro development experience required. The candidate must be skilled in creating and troubleshooting complex scripting, have experience with both Macs and PCs, and have a good sense of usability. Experience with FileMaker Server, web-based FileMaker solutions, and FileMaker Plug-ins are pluses. Experience working with schools or with the PowerSchool student information system is a plus.
