Window Automatically Minimizes on File Open

We have some filemaker files that were created in version 3, converted to version 5, and now converted to version 7/8. They work great except for one thing: when they are opened in FMP 8 for Windows, they open minimized. This does not happen when they are opened in FMP 8 for Mac OS. Under File Options, no scripts are set to run on file open, so it's all rather puzzling. I tried creating a script to automatically restore the window on file open, but now it minimizes and then restores on file open, which is enough to make you dizzy. (These files are hosted on FileMaker Server 7, but the same thing happens when you open them locally.) Any ideas?

I'm not sure why that's happening but I think you'd be able to easily control its behavior with a startup script that addresses the issue.
