Rapid File Seaching using Zippscript help needed

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been playing around with filemaker Pro 7 for a while, but would appreciate some help.

I have spent hours and hours reading post here but found nothing that directly relates to what I wish to do.

I have watched the video tutorial on this Rapid file searching (Zippscript) topic, several times however not understanding programming I am at a bit of a loss as to how to alter it to search more fields in the table. (i.e. ‘Supplier2’, ‘Supplier3’ and so on. It currently only looks at ‘Supplier1’ field.

The tutorial video did mention it was possible to do adding more global fields and narrowing a search (with the users adding more data narrowing the fields) however I need only one search box and wish to search many fields.

SO my basic table has fields in it with Supplier1, Supplier2, Supplier3, Supplier4, Supplier5, etc,

(The fields contain data they are all part numbers.)

Before u suggest I might re-organise my database keep in mind the different part numbers in any one record all relate to the same part(or item i.e. record 1 one might refer to a 360gig hard drive for example ) but different supplier's in their infinite wisdom call them different numbers.. go figure...

Any help would be appreciated.

Example of database with zippscript as well.
