Guess it's a no go but can Filemaker handle 3,5 million records?

1 text field (max 30 characters), 2 number fields.

The limit is not the number of records but the size of the file, which is 8 terabytes. You should be OK!

It also depends on how much info you're going to be placing into these three fields. If they're small text, then no problem. If they're container fields, then that might be a problem.
