Field blank until clicked

I am displaying a field from another database with Student ID being the relationship between the two. All my data from the linked record displays properly in the portal. However, the ID field is blank. When I click on the field the text shows up. Never saw this one before. I have an identical screen with a different database (these are all types of test scores)and that works fine.

I am drawing a "blank". arrrgghh

Thanks in advance!

I've ran into this before a while back. It seemed to fix itself as I manipulated the file.

You might was to save a clone of the file and then import the data to see if it still does it.

I've also had this happen before and it was completely my fault. omewhere aloing the line the key field became a complicated mess, a look from an unstored field or someother attempt to push a square peg through a round hole.. look at the relationship and key fields to see how clean they are.

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and it. I seemed to eliminate some of the problems. The odd part is that I am using the flip chart on the side to go thru the records. Then all of a sudden the field disappears. However, as I said, if I click on the field, the text appears. Wierd stuff...

I have had the same problem when my match fields were complicated calculations. Using the refresh command help a bit also.

Good Luck.

(It's never so bad that it couldn't get worse.)
