hello, i'm new at filemaker, and i really need some help here.

i'm creating a project with two layouts, a and b.

in layout a, if i click a button, the script will

show layout b in a new window.

the problem is: i want to click a field in layout b, and then the value in that field will be transferred to a field in layout a (layout b is like a lookup form). how can i do this?

were do you enter values in fields of layout b ?

are those fields of global type ?

isn't it better to store those values in a table ?

just fine, but won't it make the table larger?
