I am looking at writing a user login system as a front end to our set of database and wondered if anyone had an example file or a best practice guide that they would be willing to share. Are you using the accounts model in filemaker 8 and user records or just plain user records (hope that makes sense?). Pro's and Con's!!!

I wouldn't try to go without using either built-in accounts or external authentication, since you'll have to store passwords in the database otherwise, and then you won't be able to use privilege sets to control users' access to the system.
