Folks, I am using Brian Dunnings Barcode Basics Code 128 barcoding sytem for FMP 8. I have Dymo labels that are 1 inch wide for my barcode and I've already done may label layout so that it prints correctly.

I can't seem to resize a barcode to fit in the label space. Resizing the font or changing the style doesn't change the bar spacing. If I change the bounding box size the barcode gets cut off.

Perhaps this isn't something that shouldn't be done with barcodes. Will it still be scannable? I Essentially typed in LIB20000 to convert to a barcode to get the resulting size of the barcode.

I need advice.

I don't know how Brian's system works - if you were simply using a barcode font you could resize it to fit, no problem. As to your second question; if the barcode is cut off, it will not read at all, as the scanner won't find what it considers a complete message. However, your typed data will be readable - all barcodes (128 and 3of9, etc.) are is a machine-readable font.

Your best bet is to refer to Brian's website and see if there is help there.
