Populate Global Field with Content of Portal Field

I need to be able to click into a portal row and with a script collect the data in one of the fields to populate a global field on the layout. Any help is very appreciated!

Assign a script to a button on your portal. Your script would just be:

Set Field[GlobalField; DataField]

The DataField will automatically have the content of the current portal record.

.. just make sure you put your button within a portal row.. or even attach it to one of the fields within your portal...
