GrantSymon Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi, I'd like to be able to delete multiple files via a portal. I've thought of 2 ways of doing this, either by doing a Replace on a field for the files visible in the portal, then a find on that field, then a Delete found set ... or ... by doing a loop script on the portal, deleting as it moves through the portal files. Has anyone a better suggestion? Both of these seem to be real 'kludges' to me. Grant
Vaughan Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Errrr, you mean "records" not "files" right? Portals display related records. Your first option is actually close, except the Go to Related Records (GTRR) is used to isolate the related records, not a replace-and-find. Something like this... Go to Related Records [ relationship, layout ] Delete Found Set [ no dialog ] Go to Layout [ original layout ]
GrantSymon Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Hi Vaughan, Excellent. Thanks! Yes ... I mean records ... (must have been having trouble with my ear-goggles). I didn't realise that you could go to related recordS. Plural. That will make it far more elegant. Thanks again, Grant
