Can't get set database to OPEN

In the FMS8A console...everytime I try to set the database to OPEN it very quickly says CHECKING then displays CLOSED.

I've checked the priviledge sets on the file itself making sure that IWP is allowed.

Why can't I get this thing to open???

FileMaker Networking also needs to be allowed in the privilege set.

Also check that the file is not corrupted.

Ive check the privilege set....Access FM Network has full access. How can I check for a corrup file???

Problem solved. The file did have some corruption. Was required to compact the file...make a clone...export to merge file...then recover the clone with the merge file.

All is well
