Adding and Removing Items

Featured Replies

I have a field "PathToMacVolume" in a database which contains a information on the path to a volume.

When this field is added to the "Model" field it creates a full reference to a jpeg file for viewing which is then displayed in a calculation field "PathForMacUsers" the result being a container.

I needed a field which contains a single reference to each of the individual "PathToMacVolume" fields.

This field is used by an Applescript to mount those volumes and allow the MacIntosh User to copy the Hi-Res Images.

So I created a global field "MacVolumes" to contain this information in the form of a Value List.

My questions are:

1. How do I make sure that as items are added to this value list they are automatically checked.

2. How are items removed from this value list if the user goes back and changes the "YearofManufacturer" field and that path reference is no longer needed.

3. Is this even the best way to handle this?

Note: Thanks to Comment. I gathered information on how to create dynamic value lists from his reply to someone else's post
