Importing multiple images to records

I use filemake to keep records of people I interview for careers. Each record has a picture box. I take a digital picture of each candidate and upload them from the camera into a folder at the end of each day, I then import each photograp to it's appropriate record. I would like to automate this process rather than importing each photgraph manually. Is there a script or function that will import all the days photographs into their individual records. Each photograph is given the same name as each record.

You can use the Import Folder step. It supports the Matching Records option. You would match on the File Name; but it must be unique, and obviously you need a pre-existing FM field to match (including the extension, i.e., "FentonJones.jpg"). After choosing the matching option click again on the arrow between the two keys; it'll turn to an = equals sign.

You must Show All Records in that table first, if you want to match all existing records. If you already know which people need new pictures, then you can just Find them. It matters, because matching all records is slow (if you have thousands). You would NOT check the Add new records option, unless you want to create records from the pictures.

To see if someone has an embedded picture you can use the calculation function, Length ( container field ).
