Not sure I'm posting this in the right place or if a function is what I need to do what I want, but here goes.

First, I'm new to filemaker. I am building something at work and would like to be able to have a button next to a website field that launches the url in the website field. The open url field requires you type one in. I'm also aware of the right click feature but would prefer to use a button on the layout.

Thanks in advance

oh yeah, I have filemaker pro 7

Put a button on your layout, and set it to use the Open URL command, specifying the URL field in your database as the url to use.
