Can I format the text in a value list to get a superscript?

I don;t think that you can. The standard scientiffic notation (from memory) is "E" so 1,000,000 is 1.0E6.

I would like to set up a value list that has values which are powers of 10. I would like to use a superscript notation for the list. I can't figure out how to format the items in a value list to make the last character in 105 to be a superscript.
