Is there a way to have FM Server 7/8 send email instead of the client FM Pro in a hosted database? We're currently running FileMaker 7 Advanced Server, and there may be a need in the future to have a hosted database be able to generate email upon certain actions. I need the email to be sent from the server, not every client that would be connecting to it. It seems like this is doable via Custom Web Publishing, but what about via just ordinary FileMaker networking?

I've dont this in the past with Tango (and FM 4), but my current employer doesn't want to use Tango or anything similar, so I'm pretty much stuck with whatever functionality FileMaker has built in...
