Copy Merge Fields

Featured Replies

Is there a way to allow the user to copy a text box with merge fields so they can easily paste it in another application?

Now, I know that I can create a calculation field and arrange these fields however I like and that would solve my problem. However, there's thousands of ways that you could want to format names, dates, phone numbers, addresses and creating fields for each way seems like it would quickly get confusing. I would be trying to remember which field has which formatting.

In writing this it occurs to me you could have a global text field that you simply populate via a script and somehow export/copy that but then you still have a single script for every possible formatting of some rather basic data.

What it boils down to is that I have certain data I want to merge on individual layouts without need for extra scripts or fields. This goes towards the whole separation of data and view.

Thanks,

Bryan
