Importing images into related fields

Hi everyone,

I am building a database which will contain multiple .jpg or .bmp images for each record. I built two related tables. The first table is for the data entry part of the database, and the second table is for the images. The two tables are related by a serial number which is generated by Filemaker.

Each record's images reside in their own folders. So I only need to import one folder per record.

Is there a way to import the images directly into the related table and assign them the serial number so that they point to the record I created?

When I use the import folder script, the imported images do not get linked to the original record.

thanks!

Ammar
