RECORDID and MODID in XML export

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

Hello,

I have received a FileMaker XML export file (from my customer). In this file each record is stated (something) like below:

I do not have FileMaker installed to determine what the values for modid and recordid stand for, so can anybody explain this to me?

I assume that one of these values is the primary key of the exported table, or am I wrong?

Thx,

Dennieku

Your not completly wrong, they're just properties of the row function... Though RecordID is a filemaker generated key, and while it may have a unique value in the table it was exported from (i.e your primary key), it has no real meaning. ModID once again is just another property... point is, both are filemaker generated and can be ignored in most cases.

Answering your question... No you aren't wrong. :)
