March 29, 200619 yr No. If there was, it would be a HUGE security problem. You can log account usernames though. If you have the files shared through FM Server then turn on the activity logs and they'll be there. Otherwise you'll have to create a system where the startup script of the file creates a new record in a table each time it's opened. Not too hard.
March 30, 200619 yr Author Thanks Vaughan. I knew it would be a security issue, but I didn't know if it were possible. Our end users are always forgetting their password for one system or another and I wasn't sure if there was a way to log it.
March 30, 200619 yr Our end users are always forgetting their password for one system or another That's why FileMaker Server supports External Server Authentication. One account and one password for all assets thru Active Directory or Open Directory. Please see the External Server Authentication Tech Brief at http://www.filemaker.com/support/upgrade/techbriefs.html Steven
