Help pulling information from other tables

Featured Replies

I am writing a small database that will track jobs - i have created tables that store clients, people, jobs and quotes - so far i can create a job with a automatic serial number - assign it to a client with a drop down and this pulls in the people working for that client so i can chose who requests the job

in the quotes i need to select the job number from a drop down and have that pull all the information into the quote (client, people etc... from the job table that has been set previously

this i cannot seem to do

any advice would be grateful

thanks

Are you relating:

People - Clients - Jobs - Quotes

Or are you relating:

People - Clients - Jobs

&

Jobs - Quotes

If the former double check all your relationships, i.e. that quotes is related to jobs by a foreign key to your jobs primary key... If not the former... make it the former :D
