Newbies HenriFBG Posted April 5, 2006 Newbies Share Posted April 5, 2006 Hi I'm not sure if I'm at the right place to ask this kind of question... We're using FM PRO 7. We're not pro on it. My boss have Full Access and she wants me to have Full Access too. The only problem is that she don't want me to be able to change her password... That's fine with me but I can't find where I could disable this function to my Full Access account. Any help would be really appreciated!! : Henri
Ender
Sorry Henri, you can't disable the ability of a [Full Access] account to add/modify accounts & privileges, and only [Full Access] accounts can do this.
Newbies HenriFBG Posted April 5, 2006 Author Newbies Share Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) Yes, I will use the Full Access account of my boss to change my own account to Full Access and restrain my ability to change her password. Is this possible ? Or is there another type of account that would let me change accounts settings for everyone except for "Full Access" accounts? Thanks Edited April 5, 2006 by Guest
Ender
No to both. If you just need to change account passwords or add/delete accounts, this can be done using the account management script steps, but if you need to access to Define Database, or edit the privilege sets, then you'll need a [Full Access] account. Steven H. Blackwell
but if you need to access to Define Database, or edit the privilege sets, then you'll need a [Full Access] account. To define security schema you need a [Full Access] Account. However you can access Define database with a subordinate level Account. However, i don't recommend that as a practice. Steven H. Blackwell
Scriptstep--->Open Define Database, Run script with full access privilege. But as I said, I do not recommend this. Steven
